Too much exercise? 

A new study published a couple weeks ago suggests that there is no such thing as too much exercise. More exercise equals staying alive longer. This conflicts with earlier ideas that too much exercise may affect heart health and lead to increased mortality. Much of the previous research was done with limited data sets. This new study establishes that the more you exercise, the longer you'll live. Further, you'll have better quality of life at that advanced age.

Microplastics in our salt

Research has examined the extent of which microplastics have contaminated our salt. In the study, microplastics were found in 36 of 39 salt brands tested. Concentrations of microplastics varied according to the region in which the salt was produced, with Asian sources showing the highest density. Densities were also highest in sea salt, followed by lake salt and then rock salt. The study also estimates that the average adult consumes approximately 2000 microplastics per year through salt. There is not enough information at this time to identify the risks to our health.
