Epipen Shortage and Alternatives Coming Soon?
The current Epipen shortage has raised questions about providing alternatives for the life saving medication. Pfizer's Epipen is currently the sole supplier of epinephrine autoinjectors, used in the treatment of anaphylactic allergic reactions.
Update: In the interim, the Health Minister has allowed a second product to be sold, to deal with the shortages. The Auvi-Q injector will be allowed to be sold for a year and will be priced at $170.
